2018 Business Accessibility by 2030 – Small Halls | Big Ideas

.

Opening Doors for Everyone during Small Business Week 2018!

.

On October 16 & 17, to mark Small Business Week, the Strait Area Chamber and its partners are hosting a “Small Halls | Big Ideas” speaker series in four communities focusing on upcoming accessibility requirements for businesses.

.

As part of Nova Scotia’s commitment to recognize accessibility as a human right, standards will be developed in the following areas: built environment, education, employment, goods and services, information and communications, and transportation. Businesses will hear about how these standards will impact them directly, strategies for engaging employees/customers with disabilities, and they will learn about grants/programs that can help them offset compliance costs.

.

Led by experts in the field from the reachAbility Association, this session is for any business that is open to the public and/or has employees.
